4D-MSPECT is a comprehensive cardiac ECT quantification and display program for gated and ungated ECT perfusion and studies developed at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 4D-MSPECT is designed to process cardiac ECT studies and then display the images and quantitative results in many user selectable formats.

4D-MSPECT can process, analyze and display reconstructed cardiac tomographic studies of all types. The application allows users to select from among a number of different quantification and display routines through a standardized user interface. The application allows users to select from among a number of different single or multi-dimensional display(s).

A Normals Database Generator is an integrated feature of 4D-MSPECT that provides the individual user with a set of tools for generating site, patient population or protocol specific normal data files. Site specific Normals Databases are integrated seamlessly into the application for research or daily clinical use. This is a user friendly sophisticated module that provides individual subject and population statistics and the ability to review and edit the included studies (n=20 to 256) at the users convenience. Included in 4D-MSPECT is a validated normals database for the dual isotope rest Tl-201 stress Tc-99m-Sestamibi protocol, two day and one day Tc-99m-Sestamibi protocols.

Quality assurance is an important part of the operations of any successful Nuclear Imaging laboratory. 4D-MSPECT provides several options for verifying the quality of the input data and the processing of that data. Raw data cines, surface, valve plane and polarmap QA of all displayed studies are all provided and available both during processing and subsequently during image interpretation.
